EastEnders’ Nish Panesar ‘not actually dying’- and viewers have ‘proof’

EastEnders fans are certain that Nish Panesar is not actually dying.

Bad guy Nish, played by Navin Chowdhry, made his soap debut in 2022 playing the nasty businessman. As the patriarch of the Panesar clan, Nish has become one of the soap’s biggest villains.

From attempted murder to abusing his wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) his time in Walford has not been short of drama. Especially at the moment, as he recently made his return with some big news for his family: he is dying.

It was then revealed that Nish’s heart was rapidly failing due to a virus. He was later diagnosed with viral myocarditis and is in desperate need of a heart transplant.

Nish has told his family that he is dying

At first, the Panesar clan was hesitant to let him back into their lives. Nish’s son Ravi (Aaron Thiara) put their feud in the past and rallied around him – but the same couldn’t be said for his ex-wife Suki.

His other son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) also refused to have anything to do with him. However, he later had a change of heart and promised Nish to be there for him, especially as their days were limited.

Nish noticed Ravi and pretended to have a coughing fit

But in a big twist, it was revealed that Vinny is playing Nish, with the help of Suki, in a bid to make sure he leaves him the Panesar empire. But following Thursday’s episode (July 4) released on BBC iPlayer, fans reckon Nish isn’t actually dying like he has been saying.

During the instalment, Nish arrived back at Albert Square from visiting grandson Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) at the hospital. Getting out of the taxi, he saw son Ravi across the road.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed from fans

However, suddenly he pretended to have a coughing fit, hobbling over. Ravi saw his ‘struggling’ dad and ran over to assist him before taking him back home.

Viewers were quick to spot the moment of Nish ‘faking it’ – and rushed online to share their thoughts. Over on a Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “I don’t think he’s even ill (Nish) the way he saw Ravi then started coughing etc.. he’s faking it.”
